40 Languages, One App: How NetflixKing Organizes a Global Catalog

Most streaming apps organize around one primary language and treat everything else as a subtitle option. NetflixKing does the opposite — the catalog itself is organized into 40 separate language shelves, each browsable on its own terms.

What "40 language shelves" actually means

Rather than one undifferentiated catalog with a language filter buried in settings, NetflixKing's library is structured so that English, Arabic, Hindi, French, Turkish, Persian, Tamil, German, and dozens more each function as their own section — closer to browsing separate storefronts under one login than searching one giant mixed list.

Why this structure, specifically

  • Multi-language households are the norm, not the exception in much of NetflixKing's audience — a household might want Arabic news, Hindi films, and English series, under one subscription and one device setup rather than three.
  • Discovery works differently per language. What's trending in Malayalam cinema has little overlap with what's trending in Turkish drama — organizing by shelf keeps each language's content surfaced on its own terms instead of diluted into one global "popular" list dominated by whichever language has the most titles.
  • It scales without adding apps. Adding a 41st language shelf doesn't mean installing another app or juggling another login — it's the same catalog, the same device setup, the same Purchase ID.

How the catalog breaks down

At last count: 12,620+ live TV channels across 148 categories, 55,012+ movies across 207 categories, and 13,518+ series across 106 categories — spread across the 40 language shelves, with English, Arabic, and Hindi currently the three largest by title count, followed by French, Turkish, and Persian. The full current breakdown is always visible on the library page.

One app, one setup, regardless of which shelf you use

Device support and setup are identical no matter which language shelves you actually browse — see our device-specific guides for Fire TV Stick, Mi Box/Mi Stick, or the general device compatibility list for anything else.

Following specific language shelves

We publish a monthly roundup of what's trending on individual language shelves — starting with Malayalam this month, rotating through others in the months ahead.
